ABOUT OA

Overachieve Sports and Speed was founded by Brian Henesey in the Spring of 2010. Brian’s background is a real life “Rudy” story- when he graduated Bucknell University he was the school’s all-time leading rusher. But NFL scouts dismissed him as being the typical small school running back, too small and too slow. Instead of giving up on his dream to play in the NFL, he continued to work and got faster, stronger, and more explosive and chased after that dream and played with both the Arizona Cardinals and the Philadelphia Eagles! You can learn more about Brian’s journey to the NFL HERE.

After years of experience working with some of the top strength and conditioning coaches in the field, Brian found what training methods and exercises that helped maximize his potential, and is the backbone to the Overachieve training program. Alongside those training principles, we continue to research and modify our programs to give your athletes the best training experience possible!

Coach Jack Murphy, CSCS

Owner, Head Speed and Strength Coach

I started working at Overachieve as an intern during the Summer of 2017 while at Temple University. I continued to work at Overachieve after the internship and received my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise and Sports Science in December of 2017. In November of 2018 I got my CSCS certification through the NSCA. After 6+ years of working at Overachieve I took ownership of the gym in January 2023.

Outside of the gym I love to hike, fish, and travel with my fiance, spend time with my family, and of course work out! I am so excited to continue giving athletes the best coaching, facility, and opportunities to take their game to the next level and chase their dreams!
